Fund mission – assistance to seriously ill children, assistance in the development of civil society, the introduction of advanced medical technologies. In 2017 alone, more than six million TV viewers of Chanel One, readers of rusfond.ru; Kommersant and 170 regional and federal media partners of Rusfond; 985 companies and organizations paid for the treatment and assistance of 2,782 children from Russia and the CIS countries, and also the typing of 9,397 potential bone marrow donors for the Vasya Perevoshchikov National Registry.

For 25 years, Rusfond has created a unique model of targeted journalistic fundraising. Our charitable foundation regularly publishes requests for help on the pages of the Kommersant newspaper and on the rusfond.ru website, as well as in various information resources of our partners in the media. In 2011, new platforms were added to print publications: Channel One and regional radio and TV channels, thanks to which millions of Russians take part in Rusfond's actions.

In 2000, the Russian Assistance Fund was registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation as a legal entity - Non-profit Organization Charitable Foundation "Pomoshch" (NGO Charitable Foundation Pomoshch").

In 2009, the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation registered the Rusfond Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Seriously Ill Children, Orphans and the Disabled (BF Rusfond).

Founders of "Pomoshch" and Rusfond – Kommersant Publishing House and founder, head of the Russian Aid Fund, Kommersant journalist Lev Ambinder, who is also the president of both funds.

Rusfond is a laureate of the Silver Archer national award for 2000. Awarded with a commemorative badge "Mercy" No. 1 of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of the Russian Federation for merits in the development of Russian charity.

In September 2017, Rusfond entered the register of NPOs providing public benefit services.

In March 2019, Rusfond received the Golden Cat Fundraisers Association award for the Best Use of Digital Technologies in Fundraising Activities.

In December 2019 - the Runet Prize - 2019 for contribution to the development of the Russian segment of the Internet in the special nomination "Mobile application".

In 2019, Rusfond won a presidential grant for the Coincidence. President of Rusfond Lev Ambinder is a laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation.
